How does Itellas Caller ID Spoofing Work?

Making calls with Itellas is easy!  First, you need to call in to Itellas.  You can do this several ways:

  1. EASIEST OPTION: From any phone, you can dial our access number
  2. If your business has a newer model phone system, your voice vendor or I.T. department can set up a line directly to us for everyone at your company
  3. BEST OPTION: You can connect directly to the Itellas network using a SIP Phone, or a VoIP app of your choice! (i.e. Bria, Zoiper, Microsip)

Once you’re online with us, our system will prompt you for the information necessary to make a call.  You can also heavily automate this process using Speed Dials and Call Rules in order to speed things up.  Itellas will start a new, separate call to your destination number using the settings you specify and bridge those two calls together.  This allows for Call Recording and keeps your call totally secure.  When you’re finished talking, you can stay on the line and make a new call, or hang up and come back later.

How does Itellas billing work?

We have two types of plans: Pay-Per-Minute and Unlimited.

Pay-Per-Minute: If you decide to go with a Pay-Per-Minute plan, there are no monthly fees!  You would instead purchase a block of minutes up front, then use those minutes to make calls.  Each call that is answered (including Voicemail) costs a minimum of one minute, and there are no other fees of any kind.  You can have as many people as you want using your account at the same time, and all the calls will use the minutes you’ve purchased.

Unlimited: If you go with an Unlimited plan, you can make all the calls you want for $24.95 per user, per month.  When signing up, your first month’s charge is pro-rated until the 1st of the next month.  From then on, your MRC (monthly recurring charge) is billed on the 1st of each month.  You can add or remove users at any time, with pro-rated charges where applicable.  Each user is required to register their phone number on the account so the system can identify them, and is allowed to make one (1) call at a time.

Closing your account: Customers may close their accounts at any time via the website.  There are a couple of things to note about account closure:

  1. Per an agreement with the FCC, Itellas is not permitted to delete data under any circumstances.
  2. Users with Pay-Per-Minute accounts will lose any remaining minutes.
  3. Users on Unlimited plans will still have access to their accounts until the end of their billing cycle

Spoofing FAQs

Spoofing is 100% legal. There are certain rules for industries like Debt Collectors or Telemarketers, but using spoofing in a lawful way is perfectly ok.  

Itellas services work with land lines, cellphones, and most good-quality VoIP carriers.

You can create special logins to your account for your employees or contractors allowing them to see only their data. No need to have multiple accounts!

Spoofing cannot control the name that appears on spoofed calls. The names are pulled from a national database and sent along with the Caller ID. If you spoof a real number, then the name associated with that number will appear. If you spoof a bogus number, the name will show as “Unavailable”

Itellas does not sell to customers outside the United States.

Itellas does not allow robodialers or other automated tools. All calls must be placed and conducted by a person. However Itellas does provide tools such as Call Rules that allow salesmen and other types of users to have our system automatically display a number on outgoing calls, such as your office number, so that you do not have to enter the number for every single call.
